I cannot even tell you how excited I was to get asked to take Taibree’s Sr pictures! She has so much ahead of her and so many exciting things going on in her life right now. It was truly an honor to be able to capture such a fleeting moment.
Taibree just won Miss Herriman, has a summer full of events and appearances, and is headed off to college in the fall. Congrats, you amazing girl. Thanks for spending an evening with me and my camera. It was a blast. I hope you enjoy these!
These guys were so much fun to photograph. They were so natural in front of the camera and their love for each other just “oozed”. I love it when I get to step back and capture people being who they naturally are. Moments like these are why I love being a photographer. Nothing forced, or unnatural, just innocent and real and breathtaking. Just like these two, beautiful and meant for each other, just like their red hair! Simply stunning!!
I asked Valene to tell me a little about her and Matthew and the first thing she said is that they both love to read. The second thing she said is that Matthew loves Star-wars, and that it’s been a running joke with them since they’ve known each other. So naturally, we had to include both. (The Star-wars “series” below cracks me up every time. Sooo funny. I love that they wanted to capture such a fun part of themselves.)
What a great treasure it is for me to be apart of such an exciting time in someone’s life. I simply adore it. Thank you, dear Valene and Matthew, for allowing me to capture such a momentous time in your life.

Our son Kyle turned 12 a few weeks ago and I was able to drag him out and get a few shots.
He HATES getting his pictures taken! But once I mentioned that I wanted him to grab a bunch of his books, he was game. He LOVES to read and reads for hours everyday.
He is a great student, very happy, loves to ski and play soccer, and loves to bug his younger brother (which drives me crazy, but that’s what being a boy is all about, right?).
